ROI
Electronic shelf label ROI calculator
Estimate the shelf-edge labour you spend today, subtract the recurring PriceFlow cost, and see whether a net monthly benefit exists for your store.
Your assumptions
These starting values are placeholders, not PriceFlow benchmarks. Replace them with your own figures — every result is calculated from exactly what you enter here.
Count individual labels re-printed and replaced, not the number of price files.
Printing, walking to the aisle, finding the facing and replacing the ticket.
Use your fully-loaded cost, including employer on-costs.
Set below 100% if your team will still do some manual shelf-edge work.
PriceFlow cost used in this calculation
No published monthly figure for your current configuration yet. Build an estimate to include the recurring PriceFlow cost.
How this calculation works
- Manual time. Labels changed by hand each week, multiplied by the seconds each one takes, converted to hours. A month is 4.33 weeks (52 ÷ 12), not four.
- Gross operational saving. Those hours, multiplied by your hourly labour cost and by the share of the work you expect PriceFlow to remove. This is the saving before any PriceFlow cost.
- PriceFlow recurring cost. The monthly figure from your estimate on the pricing page. If you have not built an estimate, there is no recurring cost to subtract and no net benefit is shown.
- Net monthly benefit. Gross operational saving minus the recurring PriceFlow cost.
- Upfront cost. The implementation fee, plus the hardware purchase if you choose to own your hardware. Under managed hardware there is no hardware purchase.
- Indicative payback. Upfront cost divided by net monthly benefit — shown only when the net benefit is positive. If your savings do not exceed the recurring cost, no payback period is displayed, because none exists.
What this does not include
- It models shelf-edge labour only. It does not attempt to value pricing accuracy, faster promotions, or any effect on sales — those vary too much between retailers to estimate honestly.
- It assumes your own figures are representative. A week with an unusual number of price changes will overstate the ongoing saving.
- It is not a guarantee of savings, and it is not a quotation. Final pricing is confirmed after we review store coverage, mounting and any integration requirements.
